First off, it is not alltogether clear if pelvic congestion is a cause of pain, or an effect of pain, though I believe the former. I am unaware of any long term research on the effects of embolization (remember, we would be trying to embolize veins, quite a different matter than embolizing the arteries, as is done with fibroids sometimes). Uterine suspension might help if the congestion is caused by prolapse, but typically, it is not. Hysterectomy is reliable and effective, but that would compromise fertility.
