I have been having lots of pain and my obgyn requested I have an ultrasound. I had a hysterectomy at 26 I am now 30. I went for the ultrasound today and was told that the left ovary had several cysts and it appeared that these cysts were related to hormones. The pain is horrible and I have been told that the cysts should be removed. I believe it may be needed to relieve the pain. It hurts to have intercourse, pelvic exams and I had bloodwork to check my hormones and the levels were fine. Should I have asked for a CA125? And what can you tell me based on what I have been told?
