I'm in counselling and doing other things considered helpful (exercise, change in diet, generally taking care of myself) but I feel that it's just not doing enough, so I'm considering getting some medication. A few years ago, I tried Zoloft for a few weeks, but the side effects (shaking, yawning, excessive sweating - my hands were like wells :-) were just too uncomfortable, and I managed to get through that phase without pills. Now I've heard wonders about Wellbutrin and Effexor. While it is impossible to predict how I will react, what experience do people on this board have with them?
