Hi Sara,

I take the pill in the fashion that you are describing and I was told by two drs that it is safe to do this. I've been taking the pill continuously (this is what they call taking the pill when you don't take the placebo) in order to treat endometriosis. The only time I ever took a break and tried to have a period is when the dr that told me to start taking the pack of pills without the placebos thought that I couldn't handle taking the pill in that fashion.

I've been taking the pill continuously for 3 years now and I love it. I assume that the article also talked about the new pill that they are testing that when taken would have women getting their periods 3 times a year or something like that.

If you have other questions as far as personal experience about how I have done in the three years that I've taken it so that I don't have a period please feel free to e-mail me directly.

Also if you check the archives of this forum you will find lots of additional information on this subject.

I do hope that this is of some help to you.

Kristy :)
