Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: Excessive vaginal bleeding" For 17 days now, I have discovered very light discolored bleeding with strings of clots. 14 days later there was proper heavy bleeding. I am currently taking Cilest (a combined contraceptive pill) and realized the first bleeding on the 12th-18th days of the pack. I continued taking the pill without break (tri-cycle) and now on the 7th day of the new pack, bleeding became heavier.
