I'm planning to find an endocrinologist as soon as I'm added to my husband's health insurance. Since you have suggested that hypothyroidism hasn't caused my rapid weight gain, I will find out more about the BC pills I'm taking. The last time I had such a rapid weight gain was when taking Depo, so maybe my body is reacting to BC pills in a similar way. I'm sorry if it seems that I'm making this sound more complicated than it is. It just seemed that you might have been pointing a finger towards overeating as the cause of my problems. I know that I do not get enough exercise, but I do eat balanced meals. Before I had my twins, I swam for an hour everyday. But until I can afford a babysitter, I will have to settle for the amount of exercise I get around my house. I think this is a wonderful service which provides useful advice. And I will definitely seek further help from a doctor in town. I've learned lots just from browsing the list of topics. I appreciate the time all our doctors take from their busy schedules to contribute to this forum. Audrey
