AdhesionsFrom: Melinda (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 26 Oct 2000 21:00:42 -0500 (CDT)
My sister had a hysterectomy at age 25. She is now 38 and has severe adhesions. She just had her 3rd surgery for bowel obstruction, and been hospitalized 6 times and this has all ben in the last two months. She is in chronic pain and very depressed. The doctor says every time he operates because of a blockage, more adhesions form. This has been like a roller coaster for our family, and we do not know anyone who has had this problem. Can you tell me if there is anything that can stop the adhesions, or blockages? The doctor inserted a baker stent to help keep the bowels from looping, but he said that is not a cure. Please help, any information will be appreciated.
