If your potassium level is really 6.8, I certainly hope your physician is treating you with all urgency. That is a dangerously high level and could result in cardiac arrest. There is obviously an imbalance of your electrolytes and I really hope your doctor is giving you something to get rid of all of that potassium. Secondly, I have had the same problems with yeast where I get the inside cured but the outside is still irritated. It may help to buy some antifungal cream of your choice and treat it according to the instructions. By the way, no sex until the infection has cleared up. It may help if your significant other used the cream too. Good luck!
