early miscarriage?From: Tammy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 21 Oct 2000 09:09:02 -0500 (CDT)
I am at 5 weeks gestation. I notices some whitish clumps in the toilet after noticing a twinge of pink on my toilet paper. One clump was smaller than the other. I realize that orgasm isn't normally supposed to affect pregnancy, but I had two orgasms last night (without penetration) and my husband noticed that the second was unusually pronounced. I have also been diagnosed before conception with low progesterone levels. I hope I'm not being too crude, but could the clumps be discharge? I know no blood is normal during pregnancy, but I have had no cramping and have seen no other blood than that twinge. I had symptoms of a yeast infection (which has been recurring) over the past few days and have been a little irritated. Your guess might be a tad better than mine. (?) Could I have an ultrasound this early? ( Can't get in touch with my doctor...that's not a good sign for the future.) Thanks for any information, or even for a kick in the right direction. We tried for a year and this is our first conception.
