Is this normal?From: Elaine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 20 Oct 2000 02:41:01 -0500 (CDT)
In 1998 I had a cervical erosion, last year I was diagnosed as having endometriosis. I was put on Zoladex and HRT which has suppressed the symptoms. I came off the drugs in January and had only 3 periods this year. After visiting the gynaecologist last week she suspects I have polycystic ovaries and I have had a blood test to determine hormone levels and will have another one on day 21 for progesterone. She has also referred me for an ultrasound but where I live there is a 20 week waiting list. My problem is I have recently started to have sex again after a year because of the pain. On the first time it was OK, but on the second time when he withdrew there was blood on the condom. The next day there was a lot of mucus and blood coming from both the rectum and vagina. The mucus has now gone but the blood is there when I wipe myself however it doesn't appear on my pants. I am so scared, the last thing I need is more erosions or internal examinations. I had my last smear in 1998. Has anyone else experienced this?
