Lower right side pain extending to inner thigh and knee

I think 've finally tracked a specific pain I have been experiencing to my monthly cycle/ovulation. I have tried to research this but have not seen the problem/symptoms listed anywhere. I will address it at my next gyn visit, but in the meantime was wondering if you have heard of anyone experiencing ovulation symptoms to this extent.

Beginning at approximately my supposed time of ovulation and continuing through to the beginning of menstruation, I experience prominent pain and discomfort in my lower right pelvic area which then appears to cause or somehow be connected to a deep pain and pulling sensation in my upper right inner thigh, which then appears to cause or be connected to a deep dull aching pain in my right knee.

This thigh pain and pulling is often so strong that when I stand up my leg buckles due to it. This buckling also occurs when I walk, and often I must limp to avoid falling.

This all started several years ago at my gym. I had just finished working out and was stretching on the floor. When I tried to stand up my leg completely gave out and I fell. For a couple of days I actually had to use crutches to walk. Thinking it was a sports or orthopaedic problem I went to a sports/ortho doctor. He really never figured it out.

It's just now that I'm putting it together - Duh right?!?!

Anyway, can you comment?

Thanks!
