Re: An update on myself, and a ? about treatments for ICFrom: Kristy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 7 Oct 2000 00:14:35 -0700 (PDT)
Dr. Shanahan, Thanks for your note of condolences. As for my situation I don't have a urologist. I've not been to one and I'm trying to avoid having to see one b/c as I told one of the other girls I don't trust them. They had a chance 3 years ago to find out what was wrong with me and the urologist who saw me and did the surgery on my vulvar area didn't want to do any further testing on my bladder. The only thing that he did was a catheterization. I did however tell my ob last week that I would rather the cystoscopy be done at the same time as a laparoscopy so that if I have pain from the cystoscopy I can recover from that at the same time that I do the laparoscopy if my dr and I decide to go that route. I'm just trying to get as much info as I can before I see my ob again on the 13th to have her check my cervix again as she is currently treating me for another cervical infection. I'm currently on Doxycycline for a period of 10 days. Another thing that we are looking at is to possibly add another treatment or change it when it comes to how my endo is treated. That may solve my problem in the end. The last time that I had bladder pain was on the 1st and so far I've not had anymore. Maybe the antibiotic has something to do with it. I will know more on the 13th. I will keep everyone posted on how it goes. Thanks for your help. Kristy :)
