I need some answers (or educated guesses). PLEASE HELP ME(long)From: crystal (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 5 Oct 2000 00:12:01 -0500 (CDT)
Hi I am a 26 yr old female who over the years has had many problems with her female organs. I just asked to be sent to a endocrinologist to see if they can help me but I'd really like to go in at least having an idea of what may be wrong with me. I don't expect anyone to have the answers but I would love to have your opinions as to what I may be dealing with. here's a breif history..... i have always been real regular up until i was 19 then I started getting severe stomach pains that were paralizing. they came and went sometimes even making me nausiated , lightheaded or dizzy. this went on for years no one knowing why. at 20 I had such pain that I'd have to leave work so that I could seek treatment. One day a nurse at a free clinic I was passing noticed I was in pain and asked me to come in. she sat me down and we talked for a few minutes about how i had lost my cycles and was having sharp pains and then she gave me some anti inflamitory drugs and told me to go to planned parenthood for a work-up. I went the next day and had a pap done and left because the anti inflamitory drugs seemed to be easing the pain. while on the drugs the pain completely went away and I got pregnant. 2 days later i got a note in the mail that my pap looked funny and I needed to go see an obgyn. went there and had a caloscopy due to being pregnant i couldn't do a bio. it came back as reading a little funny but he said it wasn't bad and could be monitored. after my son was born i returned for a pap and an ultrasound. the pap was normal and the ultra sound showed @ 1 dozen small cyst on each ovary. they said it was nothing to worry about and sent me home. the next month (4 months after having my son) my cycles went away again. @ age 22 i was put on bc pills to regain my cycles, it worked for almost a year. then i started getting a strange swelling ( gain 30 pounds of water litteraly over night) and was put on water pills... they worked too. one day i was cramping real bad and had to go to the er. he said i had a high white blood cell count in my urine but that he couldn't find any signs of infection in my urinary tract (never found out what caused this). at 23 I went off all meds and was trying for a second child, it took forever. it wasn't until the doc put me back on anti inflamitory pills for the pain and swelling in my stomach that I finally got pregnant, again after having received back a bad pap. this prgnancy like before went off without many problems other then an excessive weight loss while pregnant (40+ with first child, 100+ with second),and on both ocassions my cervics dialated at least 2 months too early causing me to have them both a month early. now we are almost up to date. after having my son my cycles returned for 3 months. then they just disappeared (not that i miss them much)but after they left all sorts of weird things started to happen. my bladder kept having slight leakage my pain in my lower stomach returned I instantly gained 80 pounds in under 3 months AFTER HAVING LOST MY CYCLE my hair started falling out my mood swings so much that even I can't tollerate me the swelling returned and worse still having high white count in urine ovaries still very sensitive no sex drive, and on ocassion i do .......IT HURTS puss being excreted from vagina and now i have hair growing on my upper lip---what's that about? what could be wrong with me.. I need some ideas so that i know what i need to research and what i need to ask my doctor to rule out. see i haven't gone back for a pap since just after my son was born and lost my cycle that month..that's right , no cycle for almost 15 months. can cry if someone says my name wrong and a total mess. I need some answers or a gun... can I get any help at all? now we are almost
