Asthma medication during PregnancyFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 1 Oct 2000 20:49:23 -0500 (CDT)
I am 12 weeks pregnant, and have horrible allergies. I have had mild asthma in the past, but never allergies. I have been taking inhaled albuterol (Proventil), and an occassional Clartin tablet. My Dr has recently put me on Flovent, but I'm concerned about the side effects. What asthma/allergy medications are safe for the baby? And any insight into why these symptoms have come on only since being pregnant? I did not experience any of these symptoms in my previous pregnancy.
