One irregularity in the cycle is nothing to become alarmed about. Minor irregularities can occur for any number of reasons like stress, work changes,shanges in schedules. If it persists, ther may be changes in the cycle because of the ever present player in our lives - age. Irregularites in the cycle are quite common in women over 40. In non-smokers with no history of vebous blood clots, birth control pills are often recommended to regulate cycles
