ASCUS is such a non-informative finding that it could merely have been from the infection you had at the time of the pap being done. It is unlikely to be rlated to the TSS 12 yrs ago >

IT is possible to get HPV without actually having vaginal penetration (ie, from a penis rubbing on your genitals) >

you certainly could just have inflammation -- and in your case, that is probably the most likely diagnosis
