Conception/Ovulation - BBT questionsFrom: BabyLover (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 29 Sep 2000 10:46:08 -0500 (CDT)
Dear OB/GYN Staff and Readers, I was wondering if someone could take a look at my chart (2nd chart using LifeCycle software, others were recorded by hand) and answer my questions. (BTW, I own a copy of the TCOYF book but felt that these questions are more specific in nature and the book examples are a bit generic.) http://www.lifecyclesoft.com/cgi-bin/chart.pl/ts4g4 HISTORY: I have been off of BCPs for 3.5 years now and have been charting my BBTs for the last few cycles. Based on BBT charting, my cycles appear to average 45-48 days. I see a GYN for regular check ups and have been told that all hormone levels are normal. I have also had a vaginal u/s and blood work taken and everything appears normal. QUESTIONS: 1. Does it appear that I am still preovulatory? I noticed a slight jump in temperature from yesterday at 97.4 to 97.7. I am hoping that I can still be fertile today and conceive. I am assuming that there is still hope this cycle! Please advise. 2. I have also noticed that my CM near ovulation has always been EW but instead of being slightly tinged with blood, it is often light brown or bright to dark red tinged VERY stretchy CM instead --- when you look at it, it literally is colored CM and not clear/EW looking. This CM appears for about 4-5 days prior to ovulation. Is this type of CM potentially fertile? Is there anything abnormal about this type of CM that I should be concerned about? 3. Finally, during this time my breasts feel tender and become a bit larger and I have a lower backache and crampiness in my pubic area. I am assuming that this is all normal for preovulation/ovulation time. I have started noticing this only in my last 3 cycles. THANK YOU for taking the time to read this and to respond. We are happily and actively trying for a baby and enjoy the info posted on this site. Thanks for all the great work that you do for the female community!
