Since I gave birth to my son nearly 7 months ago, I have experienced a lot of irritation of my vulva. The skin appears to split or crack in numerous places, but not always in the same place. The splits alternate between being painful and being itchy. I had an episiotomy which aside from an initial scar breakdown has healed fairly well. I am still breastfeeding, my period has only just returned this week although I had some spotting 2 months ago. I have not noticed any unusual discharge or smell. I usually wear cotton underwear and pay attention to hygiene, especially since this started. Any ideas? Next message: R.
