The fibroids would not have gone away with your taking the pill. They may have shrunk slightly, but they do not disappear. Your doc should be able to evaluate you for the fibroids. The symptoms you have are ceratinly suggestive of fibroids, but an exam and ultrasound would give more specific info. Surgery, by definition, is invasive. There are less extensive ways to operate noe, but the approach depends upon the individual situation. Hopefully, you can find a doc you like to review your options with you.
