Insomnia is not a common complaint from my patients on synthetic progesterone -- moodiness, yes, but sleeplessness, no (or maybe they just don't mention it). If it is indeed caused by hte aygestin, it may improve after a couple of weeks -- if it doesn't talk to your doc about alternatives
