pregnancy and bleeding

I just took a home pregnancy test and it was positive. I have an appointment with my doctor Tuesday (it's Friday morning now) and I'm pretty sure I'm going to go insane over the weekend. My last "for sure" period was about two months ago. I was supposed to start my period 30 days ago but it was 4 or 5 days late. When it did come, it was only spotting for a couple of days, then some light-ish bleeding followed by more spotting that continues now (although it is so incredibly light, it barely deserves the name "spotting"). My breasts are VERY tender, but no other symptoms.

I'm wondering if that early pregnancy bleeding is a VERY bad sign or maybe only MILDLY bad, maybe unusual but not necessarily a sign of something awful? The last time I was pregnant was about 7 years ago that ended in an 18-week miscarriage and I guess I'm worried..
