abnormal heavy bleedingFrom: Devon (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 21 Sep 2000 12:00:54 -0500 (CDT)
I'm 20years old and I have two children, the last one being born over 8mos ago. My periods have always been very regular up until the last three. The last one lasted 3weeks and was very heavy. I went to the hospital and they did a bunch of blood work, cervical exam and tested for infections, and came back saying everything was fine. Now the period I'm currently having is worse than the last one. It is so heavy, I'm missing school, I'm very tired and worn out, and brusing easily as usual. I have had problems before with low platelet counts and anemia but when I went to the hospital last month they said my blood work was fine. I know my body and I know something is wrong. This is not normal for me and it is affecting my life drastically. I think that the hospital should have done an ultrasound, but I don't have insurance so I think that is why they just did the basics. If I don't have an STD or an infection and I'm not having a miscarriage than what can it be? Please help!!!
