Montgomery, MD: "Re: Don't know why I did not menstruate" I thought I was starting my period on day 31 but it turned out to be very light spotting. Took home pregnancy test which was negative. Went to gyn took blood test day 32. He suspects no ovulation this month. Blood test results are "borderline negative" for the hcg level and progesterone was 8. Gyn said progesterone level indicates that I did ovulate this month. My history is that I was trying to get pregnant this month and had one previous ectopic pregnancy. An ectopic should show a positive pregnancy test. Gyn says to come back in 6 more days for another blood test. Now day 33 and still very light spotting. What is happening here?
