Anal incontenance

I have had 3 surgeries to repair a 4th degree tear which caused me to have anal incontenance. My OB-GYN suggested that I see a colon rectal surgeon to seek muscle stimulation. She feels that surgery will not help at this point, because most of my muscle wall has been cut away with the three surgeries that I have had. Do you know anything about this stimulation or what other options may be good for me?
