CelebrexFrom: Cindy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 13 Sep 2000 06:48:33 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, My doctor just prescribed Celebrex 100mg for me to take during my periods. I was taking Tylenol 3 and 800 mg of Motrin every 4 hours until I had an allergic reaction. I am not allowed to take Vicodan, Percodan, Tylenol 3, Motrin, or any aspirin containing product. I was given celebrex and am still in a lot of pain. The prescription says to take it 2x a day but yesterday I upped it to 3. I found out later that it has a half life of 11 hours! I should not have taken the third dose but I can't stand to be in so much pain. Why would I still feel pain through this? Is there ANYTHING out there that will help me be pain free? I hate calling my Ob/gyns office and asking for something different but I also don't want to be in pain. I have 4 kids and a busy life and I can't let pain get me down. I have Endo and so I know why I am in pain but I don't know how to treat it. Any help please??? Thanks!
-- Cindy
