Re: testosterone patch for sexual disfunction

Thank you for your reply, Dr. Shanahan.
I wanted to note that I actually have been in counseling, which my
therapist and I felt were no longer needed. We specifically talked
about (among other things) my frustrations with the sex issue, and he
felt that it was a physical problem, not emotional. I'm a fairly
emotionally healthy person.
To have my testosterone level checked, can have that done at my regular
doctor's office or should that go through my gyn? And to pinpoint the
problems, I really feel that they started when my doctor put me on all
these different hormone treatments, like high dose bcp, danazol, ect. I
don't even know what my natural hormonal state is anymore.
Again, thank you for replying. You and the other doctors are doing a
wonderful service.
