Hello, For the last 6 months, every other month I get a totally late cycle. I don't even start my pms until I am already late with my period and my pms last one week three days to the day which makes me about 2 weeks late. The other months are right on time to the day. I have always been regular. Stress has been very high this year. I had an ablation done 7 months ago and thankfully because I did the late cycle's are not super heavy or anything, but they of course are heavier when two weeks late. I wondered, could the ablation have messed up my hormones...but, I was told my ovaries were not ablated, so no. Does this sound like a hormonal imbalance perhaps? How would one fix this? Would BCP's be the only answer, or would provera or prometrium fix this? And wouldn't it be a good idea to have a hormone test to check? My doctor said no, not necessary, but I beg to differ with him, I don't see what harm it would cause to run a blood test to see where I am at hormonally speaking. TIA;) Deb
