When someone says I am setting you up for a D&C & hysteroscopy, you should say "And what is that." Hysteroscopy is looking inside the uterus with a hysteroscope. It can help diagnose fibroids, polyps, or other types of intrauterine disorders. D and C is scraping out some of the lining of the uterus and looking at it under a microscope. This can tell if the endometrium is responding to the hormones. The type of bleeding described above is most commonly seen in cycles where there is no ovulation. RDB
