Montgomery, MD: "Re: Unusual period" I was not late for my period and have not had any abnormal symptoms this month, so I do not think I am pregnant, but my flow during my period has been very heavy, and today while I was going to the bathroom, a large chunk (sorry to be so graphic!) came out of my vagina. Should I be concerned that I had a miscarriage, or is it normal to have abnormally large "pieces" while menstruating? I have had pieces before, but this was very large. Thank you for your time.
