I can make some general comments - none specific to the supplement, health care provider, or company - that might be helpful. Please feed free to write again if you have further questions. 1) The FDA does not regulate the manufacture of vitamins and herbs. Some studies have used chemical tests to determine the content of herbal supplements, and found that the capsules did not contain what the label said it did. In other words, to use a facetious example, the capsule was labeled as containing oregano, but chemical analysis showed that the capsules contained no oregano. All of this information means that you should be careful about your herb source, so that you have some confidence that you're getting what you're paying for. 2) In general, professional organizations usually consider the sale of supplements or treatments by the prescriber to be a conflict of interest and of questionable ethical standing. A consumer should be leery of any treatment that is purchased directly from the prescriber.
