I did post to this, but my computer decided to have a bit of a seizure, so I am going to give this a try again ;o)..

Hi Anita,

Not all cysts need to be rechecked. We produce functional cysts each month that are completely normal (I think they can measure about 3cm~a bit over an inch, in size). It depends on the type of cyst you have as to what the treatment, or not treating it, is.

As for your Dr. not speaking with you. I would not consent to any treatment without it being explained to me completely. If she doesn't have time to talk with you on the phone, you could try setting up an appt. to go over everything. You can always go for a second opinion too (just take any x-rays, Ultrasounds, etc. with you). I personally feel it is inappropriate for a Receptionist to be giving you any information such as test results, what the Dr. wants to do and so forth. This should at the very least, come from a nurse, who is better equipped at handling your questions and concerns. She can talk with the Dr. and relay anything you have said.

I do hope some of this has helped. Good luck to you!
