What Are the Baseline Symptons/Bloodwork for Diagnosing PCOS

Just curious. I have a girlfriend who has the cysts on her ovaries and LH/FSH ratio is 3.1 and irregular cycle. However, she is absolutely beautiful physically. She is worried that PCOS is going to take over her body (ie gain weight, grow hair, loss hair on head)

Should she get a second opinion? She does not think she has the disorder. All of her bloodwork came back great but the LH/FSH. I've read that that should not considered because it rises and falls throughout the cycle. Can a doctor explain.....

I've done lots research for her and nothing really helps. I've even been on the PCOS msg board and no luck. Please explain to me what could be wrong with her other than PCOS. She is worrying herself sick...I'm very concerned=(
