2 BCP questionsFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netSun, 27 Aug 2000 23:03:36 -0500 (CDT)
First question, what do the doctors here think about skipping the week of placebo pills and starting a new pack of pills instead in order to purposely skip a period. There are articles all around lately suggesting that NOT having a period is better for you (keeping in mind--these are not medical journals I am referring to) and that you should try this for that reason and/or if you want to skip it for a month (for example, a vacation to the beach and you are supposed to get your period--would be nice to not have your period). If this is an ok thing to do, how many months in a row can you do it and still be safe? Naturally, I would discuss this with my own doctor before doing it, but I wanted to see what the doctors here think. Second question, I just started taking Levilite after several years being off the pill. I am having some nausea. I take it at night before bed. Do you have any suggestions on how to decrease or eliminate the nausea? Thank you! I enjoy reading all the opinions here.
