Burning pain post-coital. What could it be?From: Stephanie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 26 Aug 2000 08:16:52 -0500 (CDT)
I have a problem after coitus recently. I seem to have a stinging or burning sensation in my lower abdomen after coitus. It is intermittently painful during intercourse, but it doesn't hurt during all the time just afterward. I don't know if this is because of the cryo I had done 3 months ago for malignant cells found on my cervix. Could this type of procedure cause this type of pain following intercourse? I never had problems with pain before this. I was having problems with bleeding during coitus, but since the cryo procedure I have no bleeding what so ever and my last pap came back normal. So what could be causing this? I also haven't had my period since the procedure either, but I know I am not pregnant. Could all of this be in direct correlation with the cryo? Should I be concerned? Thanks.
