>>Dr. Hill, thanks for your reply, to whom should I be readdressing the issue with? My family dr? My gyn or my urologist?? My gyn seems very unconcerned and when I mentioned recurring endo or adhesions she said "chances are almost nil"... This is a very unusual statement to make in any patient who has undergone abdominal surgery. However, since I have not done an exam, etc., it would not be appropriate for me to speculate why she said this. In a perfect world your gyn would handle this. After all, she did the surgery. The family doctor can direct you to a new gyn, if you wish, but he would not usually be an expert in adhesions. General surgeons are often experts in adhesions. Thus, you have the choice between a new gyn and a general surgeon. In any event, a second opinion sure couldn't hurt. Good luck! I hope you find a quick resolution to your pain.
