Re: how many cc's are in a cup? To Robin & StasweetFrom: Emme (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 23 Aug 2000 11:27:37 -0500 (CDT)
I actually found an old post -from Dr. Wang, I think- that said that normal urine volume is 300-500ccs and that a cup or a little more is usually the normal volume. I think that seems right, b/c the last time i had to give a sample at the dr's I definitely had more than enough urine to fill a cup. Dr. Wang (or another dr) also said that going every 3-4 hours (or going 6-8 times a day and one maybe at night) was normal. I seem to go between every hour and a half to every three or four hours. At this point, I really think my bladder problems are pill related. I never had problems with painful intercourse or bladder or yeast infections before I went on the pill, and during the placebo week I always feel much better. What is also interesting is that sex with condoms seems to cause less pain (both during and afterwards) than sex without them. I wonder if this is due to friction or something.... What I find interesting is that I have found posts from other women (which were unfortunately unanswered) where they mentioned having lower abdominal pains, pain during intercourse, on and off UTIs and yeast infections and feelings or urgency which are similar to mine. They also mentioned a correlation to bcps.... E
