What you are going through sounds worse than anything I have ever experienced! I would call your doctor back and explain to someone what you are going through. See if you can get a referral to an allergist and get seen ASAP. My allergist is a pro when it comes to dealing with stuff like this. Also, I'm surprised to see that you haven't been taking Benedryl. That is very helpful with allergic reactions. Take this very seriously! With swelling like this you could get into serious medical trouble. Prednisone works to reduce swelling, but you need something to calm your immune system down. Benedryl can do that. Good luck! I've had hives all over me before but they have always gone away later that day with an injection of Benedryl.
