Hi Betty,

A GI is a Gastrointestinal Specialist, a.k.a Gastroenterologist. They deal with the Gastrointestinal System (stomach, liver, gallbladder, small and large intestines, and so on).

I would call your Dr. and address your concerns, and tell him you want answers as to why you are having this pain, and why your tubes are swollen, etc. You deserve to know the answers, even if it may be normal, at least tell you that.

I have dealt with Chronic Pelvic Pain since I was 14-15 years of age. It wasn't until I turned 31 that I was diagnosed with Endometriosis. So, I have learned quite a bit.

Good luck and write to the forum if I can answer more questions for you.
