Some docs are more delicate in their touch when feeling for problems.
Some call them rough, others call them thorough. If this is
unacceptable to you, switch docs.

By 12 weeks I expect a period, regardless.

Not likely. Maybe you're ovulating now and got the pain from that.

Everyone has different ways of handling things. Some are more
acceptable than others.
