Well, please allow me to jump on the bandwagon here ;o)....I took Lupron for seven months. I did fairly well until the end, but it is something I am glad that I tried. I know of many women that Lupron has helped. As Dr. Marchbein said, No drug is without potential negatives. Look at Tylenol for instance. It has the potential to cause liver damage if taken in large quantities over a period of time, but people take it every day. I have read on the internet of people that will take over the recommended amount of Tylenol in a day. Sometimes, probably many times, this is done without the supervision of a Dr. I know when I used Lupron, my Dr. saw me every other month, and even those months that I was not scheduled to see him, he would stop me in the hall to talk with me and make sure everything was going well for me. Close follow-ups are vital when taking medication to make sure that all is well.

I am certain that you will find plenty of information in the archives of OBGYN.net, and I suggest that you check that out. While the website that Kas has provided does give you every possible side effect of Lupron according to the author of the site, it only gives one side of the picture. When making decisions about your health, it is important to look at everything, the good and the bad.

Your Dr. is your best source of information. Talk with him/her. Let them know the negatives you have heard as well as the positives and go from there.

Okay, I'll step down now. Hope I was able to help some.
