Hello Everyone, I have a couple of questions that I hope someone will be able to answer. First my oldest sister has just been diagnosed with breast cancer. She had a biopsey done last Friday and the Dr. called her yesterday to inform her that there was a cancer spot, She now has to go tomorrow to have dye injected for the lymph nodes Is anyone familiar with this?.Then she will have to go back to have more tissue removed and lymph nodes as well. The surgeon told her that she will have to have radiation therepy but does not know yet whether she will need chemo.Souldn't she have been referred to an oncologist for counseling? The other question I have is that I have had a lump in my breast for about 6 months, I have had a spot mammogram and an ultrasound and nothing has showed up with either one, I am very concerned now that my sister has cancer, I have an appointment with my gyn next Thursday and wonder if I should insist on having it biopsied . What are the opinions of the Drs. on here?

Thanks in advance! Peggy
