I am 22 years old and I got my first Depo shot about 6 months ago. After being on it a month I started menstrating and have not stopped since! Yes, I have had my period for 5 months in a row, not even a day of rest. I went in to have it renewed 3 months ago. I told my doctor I had been bleeding for 2 months and she said I was normal and I just had to wait it out...she said I should be fine after my 6-9 month shot. After bleeding through the entire 3-6 months of being on the shot I decided not to renew it. It has been expired now for about 2 weeks and I'm now bleeding heavier than I was before!!! What is happening to me? Although my doctor says I am normal, I feel far from normal. On top of that, since the expiration of my shot I have been noticing large blood clots. What are these anyway, and should I be getting such large ones?? Please help. . .
