No, this isn't the "norm". With recurrent ASCUS, even with "favor
reactive process", it would be well within recent guidlines to undergo a
repeat colposcopy, especially with a previous moderate/severe dysplasia.
Another option (either alone or in conjunction with the colpo ) would be
a HPV determination. There are low risk and high risk sub-types and
this may assist in management.
