Could sunless tanning lotions contribute to YI?From: Angela (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 5 Aug 2000 00:04:02 -0500 (CDT)
I was just reading that the active ingredient in sunless tanners dihydroxyacetone is derived from sugar cane. I know this may be far-fetched, but is it possible that frequent use of sunless tanners could be a contributing factor to recurrent yeast infections? I ask this because I've read that yeast thrive on sugar in the diet. Thank you for your time.
