Should hubby be treated for BV and yeast?

I am currently being treated for BV and yeast. I have had recurring problems with yeast over the years, but this is the first time in years that BV was detected as well.

A friend mentioned that my husband might need to be treated to prevent him from passing the stuff back to me, and that may be why I've had such trouble with it.

Is it common for the partner to harbor yeast or BV without symptoms? Can he actually re-infect me? What is involved in determining if he does have BV or yeast? How would it be treated? Can men take Diflucan and Flagyl just like women? Is this something I need to pursue with my doctor before I finish this round of treatment?

Thanks, Andrea
