It's a yeast invasion -- Thanks Dr. Montgomery

I just saw my GYN and he diagnosed me with yeast and BV. He also thought the rash in my armpit looked "yeasty". He did a wet mount and said he saw "stems" and "clue cells", and he also sent cultures to the lab.

He prescribed Diflucan 2x 7 days apart, Terazol, and Flagyl for 7 days. Hopefully this will kill off the yeast that seems to have taken over my body. Does this sound like a reasonable regimen?

I'm thinking of starting acidolphilus tablets after I finish all these meds. Has this been beneficial in managing yeast for people?

This must have been the most painful pelvic I have ever had -- there was a lot of tenderness at the top of my bladder and uterus. He did a urine dip that came out neg, so hopefully that's a good indication that I don't have a UTI as well.

Thanks for your input...

Andrea
