Denise, There are certainly individuals who have pain following a tubal ligation. It is not clear as to the cause of this persistent pain. I even know of a patient that had such a problem that she searched for a physician that would do a tubal reanastomosis and eventually found one to do it.

As long as pathology is ruled out, I would suggest seeking counseling with regard to pain management. Additionally, there is the possibility of conscious pain mapping. This is done via a small laparoscope with the patient awake, allowing the surgeon to determine the origin of the pain... Lynn
