abnormal bleeding and cramping/don't know what to do anymoreFrom: susan (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 2 Aug 2000 23:36:14 -0500 (CDT)
For the past couple of years I've experienced periodic mid-cycle spotting. It starts right after ovulation (I think) and continues until period. Sometimes I don't have the bleeding, just cramping and sometimes vice versa. It happens for a few months in a row and then stops for a few months. My periods are normal (I think) with no heavy bleeding or painful cramps (but some clotting). I have had 2 pap smears, endometrial biopsy, intra-uterine sonagram (not saline), and cultures done. No cancer, cervical polyps, or STD's. Still checking on uterine fibroids. During the sonagram I experienced a lot of tenderness on/near my uterus which DR. couldn't explain. I am worried because I'm 35 and want to get pregnant. Sometimes I wonder if these problems are related to infertility since I've certainly taken many chances and have used only spermicide for contraceptive for past six years without any pregnancy. I don't know where to go from here and due to ticking clock, I feel like I am running out of time to figure this out. Can anyone give advice what to do next, what it could be??? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
