Ortho-Tricyclin & Menstrual CyclesFrom: Alyson (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 2 Aug 2000 12:26:08 -0500 (CDT)
Hi, I am 19 and was put on Ortho-Tricyclin to regulate my menstrual cycles and clear up acne. My doctor rtold me to start on the first Sunday after my period starts. Well, the reason I was put on in the first place was my irregulairty, and when she prescribed OT, I was already 2 weeks late. (I'm not sexually active) I had light bleeding for about 3 days so I took that to be my period, and started the pill the Sunday after. Right now I am on the 16th pill (blue) and I have been bleeding for about 4 days now. It started out light but now is moderate. I tried to get in touch with my doctor but she is away and the nRN's there act like I am stupid. I am frustrated because I thought once you start this your period comes like clockwork... and it isn't supposed to start until Day 21. I don't even know if this IS my period or not. Does anyone know what I should do?? Thank you so much for any help.
