Are you British by any chance? With medical treatment like that it
certainly sounds like it!
If you are - See another GP for a second opinion - either with your
existing practice or with another. Your are entitled to one and I
certainly wouldn't hang about with that much weight gain! I'm not a
doctor, so I can't advise you medically, but BUPA advertise ovarian
scans for 'from £125' only on referral from your GP - presumably an
ovarian scan would show other organs in the region? And the waiting list
privately is zero! An initial consultation with a gynaecologist is about
£80 - ring your local Nuffield and enquire. And if you go privately,
pick your gyneacologist! They're all different! (Ask the staff at the
hospital!)
